Connor's Baptism

Today we attended Connor's baptism. Jeff and I are honored to be Connor's godparents. We had a wonderful day celebrating today. The girls posed for a picture before we headed to church. Caroline has an ear infection, so she was a little under the weather. Connor did wonderful when Father Gary poured the holy water on his head. He did not cry.
After the ceremony, we took a few pictures. Our handsome godson, his parents and Father Gary.
I think Connor was tired of taking pictures in the next one.
Us and our sweet little nephew. I could snuggle with him and hold him all day.

After the baptism, we headed to Meme and Papa's to have lunch and celebrate Connor's baptism.
We also had more family time with Jeff's sister Katie and her groom to be Nathan. We enjoyed dinner with them Saturday night and playing Monopoly. I didn't get any pictures :( We can't wait until they come back in September for their wedding showers.

Go, Birds, Go!!

Last night, we went to watch El Campo play football. Juliann loves watching the Ricebirds. Caroline went to watch them play last year, but she was really small. She enjoyed the game. She actually feel asleep around the 4th quarter. It was way past her bedtime. Here is a picture of the girls before we left for the game. I had to share another picture of the girls. The other night, Juliann wanted to rock Caroline to sleep. I love it when they want to do things together.

Time Out

This morning while Juliann and Caroline were playing, Caroline took something away from Juliann. So, Juliann told Caroline to go to time out. Caroline walked into the corner that Juliann usually stands in when she goes to time out. When Caroline got there, she pretended to pout/cry just like Juliann does when she is sent to time out.
Then Juliann went up to Caroline and said, "Caroline, tell me what you did to me!" Afterwards, I guess Juliann still wasn't happy with how things were going and she told Caroline she was going to get the spanking spoon.
Kids really do listen to everthing you say... It is amazing to see how much Caroline understands and trys to comunicate. They are so much fun to watch!!!!!

Back to School

Today was Juliann's first day of school as a PK4 student. She woke up ready to go, in a good mood. She ate some breakfast, brushed her teeth, and then got dressed without complaining. Daddy helped her get dressed and put her shoes on. Then we all loaded up in the truck.
First, we all took Caroline to Nana's. She was ready to play!
Then we took Juliann to school. She was ready to visit with her friends as soon as we got there. She is in Mrs. Krutilek's class and is so excited about being a kangaroo. We can't wait to see what she is going to learn this year.

Last Days of Summer

Wow, where did our summer go? The girls enjoyed their last couple of days of summer by staying busy.

Caroline is growing up toooo fast. She feed herself yogurt using a spoon for the first time on Friday. She did a great job and enjoyed it. She is becoming such a big girl. One of our goals for the summer was to get rid of the paci. Caroline was only using it to nap and sleep. A couple of weeks ago we took it away, cold turkey. The first night she cried a little, but after that she was fine. She is trying to talk more and more. She is saying Dadda and Momma! The girls enjoyed playing in their pools on Friday!
Saturday, we went to a wedding. The girls loved dancing!! They were worn out when we got home. They even slept late on Sunday!
Caroline got to dance with Yaya!!

Today we went to the St. Andrew's church picnic. Juliann won a plant that she plans on taking care of by herself. They loved the fishing pond most!
Cousin Connor had a blast too! He even got a prize from the fish pond.
Caroline sat so still and got her face painted for the first time.
Juliann helped her Daddy in the beer garden.
After the picnic, we went to Pinchers with Meme, Aunt Jen, Uncle Jay and Connor for dinner. The girls enjoyed feeding and watching the ducks.

Tomorrow is Juliann's first day of school. She is excited about seeing all her friends again. Caroline goes back to Nana's tomorrow. So I guess we will be getting back into the groove of school. I loved spending the summer with the girls! We took lots of pictures, now I just need to develop them and put them in books:)

Winding Down

Our summer is coming to an end fast!! Juliann goes back to school on Monday and I officially start on Wednesday of next week. We have had a fun summer together! I am going to miss staying home with the girls all day and having dinner ready when Jeff gets home from work. We will have to figure out a new evening schedule with us cooking, getting the kids ready for bed, and training for our half-marathons. Here are some pictures from this past week.

Caroline got this hat from the summer reading program. She had fun wearing it around.
Such a sweet smile!
Connor came over today while Aunt Jen had some errands to run. Caroline loved trying to interact with him. We are excited we will be getting to see him more.
Juliann is not ready to go back to school. She likes staying home. We get to go meet her teacher tomorrow, maybe then she will be excited.

Having Fun by Juliann

We having been having fun together during our last weeks of summer. Yesterday, we played in a band. Mommy really likes it when we bang the pot lids together... the louder, the better!!

Caroline learned how to open the markers and today she showed me how to use them as makeup.

I liked Caroline's blue eye shadow so much, I had to put some on too!! So I went in the bathroom and did it myself. Do my eyes look beautiful?

Today we colored together. I am getting better at sharing with Caroline.

I have been really trying to help out my Mommy alot. The other day, she was standing on a countertop while she was painting her bedroom. I told Mommy, "I will catch you if you fall, since Daddy is not here!" I tried to use my paintbrush too, but Mommy said it was the wrong kind of brush. Oh, well! I am going to try to enjoy my last few days of summer vacation before school starts. - Juliann

Night at the Springers

Last Saturday, Jeff and I drove up to College Station for the remainder of Jeff's vacation. We went to stay with Justin & Leslie. The day and night were filled with fun. Justin made some Cuban sandwiches. They were delicious! Here is a picture of Justin smooshing them with a brick.

We listened to Justin tell stories.

Hung out with friends - Jeff, Oscar, Terrell

Wade, Kim, & Ella

Leslie, me, Jessica

And of course, listened to music

We had a wonderful time. Thank you Meme for watching the girls while Jeff and I had a day together!
