The kids enjoyed playing at the park, riding the train, and blowing bubbles.

Luke was so good and content the whole time.

Juliann won for the most decorated stroller.

Uncle Doc won first in his age division. He was followed by Jeff, who came in second. I was very excited with my time. I set a P.R., finishing in 23:52. I came in second in my age division. This was a great way to prepare for our relay next weekend.

We headed to the cook-off after the awards, so the kids could play some games.

And, we took our annual photo with Popo!

Caroline got to try on Popo's hat.

Then Uncle Doc came by in his new car and took us for a ride around the block. The girls loved it and didn't want to get out.

That afternoon, we had a team meeting for the Texas Independence Relay that we are running next weekend. Then we tried our first "hashing". Jeff was our "hare"and laid a trail of flour for us to follow. You have to look for the flour signs to know which way to go. Then you all meet up and celebrate completing the task with beer. As we were discussing the trail that we followed, we found out that we skipped the first part of the run because we had found a different sign first. It was fun! I definitely want to try it again.

St. Philip Bound

Last week, we took Caroline to St. Philip's to meet the Pre-K 3 teachers. We were also fortunate to tour the new gym and Early Childhood Center, which will be complete before she starts school in the fall. Caroline loved school. She took off right away and played in the centers. When it was time to leave, she didn't want to go back to the babysitter. She wanted to stay at school. I am looking forward to having to make one stop in the mornings and afternoons.

Spring Break 2012

The girls and I had a relaxing Spring Break. On Monday, we went to see The Lorax with the Wallis girls.Tuesday, the girls stayed home with a babysitter, while my sister and I went shopping.

Wednesday, we went to the library for toddler time and then headed to Mr. Gattis for lunch. We had a great time with Aunt Jen, Connor, Luke, Recie, Rylan, and Meme. That evening Yaya and Papi came over for hamburgers. Juliann lost her front tooth.
On Friday, the girls and I headed to the bay. Jeff went to Silsbee to hang out with the guys. This was Luke's first trip to the bay.

It was very windy!! We had lots of activities planned for the kids - bubbles, bounce house, fingerpainting, flying kites, puzzles

They enjoyed the fingerpainting!

We also had time for manicures and pedicures.

Flying kites is not so easy with little kids. Both Caroline and Connor let go of their kites. Aunt Jen chased Caroline's down and Connor's got tangled up with Juliann's.

Luke loved the bay

Caroline enjoyed the hammock.

Meme and Papa had fun in the bounce house, too!

The kids even watched some cartoons.and played with playdough

We had a great time. We can't wait until summer, so we can spend lots more time there.

Princesses

Last Saturday, the girls went to the museum to have tea with the princesses. All the girls were dressed up like beautiful princesses.

The girls walked around the museum and participated in many different activites. They had to kiss a frog, find the glass slipper, look in the mirror, make a braclet and crown.

After the activities, the girls enjoyed tea (AKA lemonade), cookies, cupcakes, and candy.

Then all the girls participated in a fashion show and were able to walk down the runway.

They had a great time with their friends!
