Hopice 5K

Saturday morning, the family went out to participate in the Hospice 5K. Aunt Jen was the first stroller to cross through the finish line with Connor and Luke in tow.Yaya and Meme helped out by pushing Juliann and Caroline.

The kids enjoyed playing at the park, riding the train, and blowing bubbles.

Luke was so good and content the whole time.

Juliann won for the most decorated stroller.

Uncle Doc won first in his age division. He was followed by Jeff, who came in second. I was very excited with my time. I set a P.R., finishing in 23:52. I came in second in my age division. This was a great way to prepare for our relay next weekend.

We headed to the cook-off after the awards, so the kids could play some games.

And, we took our annual photo with Popo!

Caroline got to try on Popo's hat.

Then Uncle Doc came by in his new car and took us for a ride around the block. The girls loved it and didn't want to get out.

That afternoon, we had a team meeting for the Texas Independence Relay that we are running next weekend. Then we tried our first "hashing". Jeff was our "hare"and laid a trail of flour for us to follow. You have to look for the flour signs to know which way to go. Then you all meet up and celebrate completing the task with beer. As we were discussing the trail that we followed, we found out that we skipped the first part of the run because we had found a different sign first. It was fun! I definitely want to try it again.
