Today Jeff and I jogged our long run, 12 miles, the longest one yet (wow, I can't believe I did it... a few years ago, I couldn't even jog 1 mile). Once again, Jeff finished before me, but I did it. Now I know I can make it through the 13.1 miles in a few weeks and Jeff will be at the finish line to take pictures of me finishing since he is faster than me. It has been fun to do a few runs with Jeff. This would not be possible without our awesome families! MeMe, YaYa, PaPa and Popey have been there to watch the girls and help us out while we are training. THANK YOU!!!!!
YEAH FOR DAWN!!!! Dawn was there to support us and cheer us on. Every 3 miles or so, we'd stop by Dawn's house. Dawn had bottled water, gatorade, powerade, pretzels, chocolate, mints, you name it, anything we needed to keep us going. She even had our little pit stop on her front porch decorated with Fiesta decorations (thank you, Amy Manis for helping out). They thought this would be appropriate, since we are doing our half marathon in San Antonio. Dawn is such a thoughtful person! She has been my inspiration in doing this half marathon! She has done whole marathons (26.? miles OMG!!). I can't thank Dawn enough for giving us a training schedule, cheering us on, and inspiring me! We are looking forward to the big day on November 15. I think I might have to invest in a fanny pack so I can take a camera to take pictures along the way.
