And the 40 leg relay continues... Saturday afternoon, we met up in Borden, Texas. We have some wonderful friends and family that cooked supper for us. We had hamburger and all kinds of goodies to eat. It was nice to visit and chow down. We were excited our girls were able to come this year.

Uncle Doc finally goto run his first run on late Saturday afternoon. He ran into Columbus. He makes running look so easy and he is super fast.
Michael handed off to me in Columbus. It was special having my family there to cheer me on. The only problem was that I couldn't run. I hobbled along. I didn't get to finish my run. It hurt and I was trying to compensate. My teammates said I better stop before I hurt something else. So Bradley took up my slack. He hadn't planned on running, but did a great job taking over even after just drinking a few beers.
I love this picture!! I hope my girls enjoy running as they get older.
Thank you, Bradley for finshing my leg. Our team really knows what teamwork means!
Jeff ran from the airport in Columbus to Altair. Then, there were lots of people running through the night (I don't have any pictures). The girls all headed to take showers at the high school in Wallis and rest a little before proceeding to Houston. We couldn't wait to eat breakfast tacos at Luke's Locker where they guys were getting some shut-eye in the parking lot.
While we were at Luke's Locker, the weather changed. It became extrememely winded, but the team kept on running. Lisa got to run through this statue. I wish we would have been there to take a picture. Also, notice how the scenery has changed from country to city.
Tyson ran into downtown Houston with the wind at his back.
Susan joined us around 3:00 AM Sunday and did an awesome job of running her three legs before having to get back to family. Another sign of teamwork!!
Here we are hanging out close to the ground to try to stay warm while Shelley waits to begin the last leg of the race.
And she is off on the final leg!!
Our team finshed in 30 hours with lots of great memories!
Shelley handing out the medals.
I love that I get to run with such an inspirational woman. Thank you, Lisa!
And thanks to Natalie, who took up driving from Borden to the San Jacinto monument.
Everyone digging into the well deserved pizza.
Afterwards, we headed over to Laura and Tyson's for more food and fellowship.
Thanks for all the memories, Heathens!! I look forward to next year!
