A "Little" Vacation

On Saturday, July 14, we loaded up the expedition and headed to Yaya and Papi's house to pick them up.  We then got on the road to Corpus Christi.  We arrived about noon, so we had a quick picnic outside the Texas State Aquarium.  After lunch, we enjoyed the aquarium.

The girls were hoping they would get a chance to play in the splash pad, but it was closed because it looked like it might rain.  Instead, they settled for playing in the sand.

 Caroline did not want to have anything to do with the dolphin.  Yaya finally got her close enought so we could take a picture.

Afterwards. we headed to our hotel to let the girls swim for a while before we went to mass at the cathedral.  Next, we headed to Whataburger Field to watch the Hooks play.

 Yaya, took to girls to the kid zone, where they had a blast.  Jeff, Papi,  and I enjoyed watching the game in peace.

 The girls loved watching the bridge change colors.

Sunday morning, we woke up and headed to Port Aransas.  We took a ferry, so we could go to HEB for groceries before heading to our next stop.  This was the first time for the girls to ride a ferry.  So, of course, we got out and took some pictures.
