Our Days at the Bay

We headed to the bay the weekend before July 4th.  Juliann was so excited that her Dad was buying her sparklers.  She had made a deal with us that if she didn't get any color changes in Kindergarten, then we would buy her sparklers.  She kept her end of the bargain and we followed thru with ours.  The sparklers weren't very good, so we will have to buy some more.
Saturday, we took the kids fishing.  It was barely sprinkling the whole time.  Each kid got to reel in a fish.

Saturday evening, Brianna came over to play for a little while.  Juliann was very excited to have a friend.
We went home that Sunday and headed back to the bay on Tuesday evening.  We headed to the Hoelscher's and enjoyed the evening their with Yaya and Papi.  On July 4th, everyone put on their red, white, and blue.
Friday morning, Mom and Dad watched all four kids, while we went fishing.  I caught three trout and Jennifer caught two.  We also caught about 12 shark that kept breaking our lines.  The boys were pretty busy taking care of tackle most of the morning.
This is one of the shark I caught.

Recie and Lynn headed our way and so did the Hlavaty's.

Connor is definitely all boy.  He enjoyed picking up the fish.

Caroline did not want to hold the fish.

Luke enjoyed his first swim at the bay.  At first he cried, but then once he started splashing, he ended up loving it.
Of course, summer would not be complete without some delicious watermelon.

Luke got to go on his first boat ride and he loved it.  He did not cry once.

Part II to follow...
