LITTLE Cheerleaders

A week ago, the girls had the opportunity to cheer at the St. Philip pep rally and football game.  The girls attended a cheerleading camp and had the chance to show off the Pioneer cheers they learned.  Here comes Juliann into the new gym.
The Pre-K students went first.  Caroline was very shy and kept her hands near her face most of the time.  She also hid behind the other girls.  She is the third from the left.

After Pre-K, the bigger girls had their chance to show their spirit.  Juliann did a great job and had a fun time with her friends.
The next picture is for Aunt Katie, Uncle Nathan, Uncle Doc and Aunt Nikki.   A few years ago for Father's Day, we all decided to donate money to the St. Philip's Building Campaign together in order to have the Boys Locker Room named in Papi's honor.  He volunteered, coached, and drove the bus for St. Philip's while his kids went to there and even after they were gone.   This is the plaque outside of the locker room.  Sorry, I couldn't go in to take pictures.  The football players were in there.

That afternoon, we went to watch the football game and the girls cheer.

For almost a month, we have listened to Juliann and Caroline doing their cheers around the house.  When it was time for Caroline to show off her skills, she wouldn't do it.  She just stood around and started to get teary eyed.  When she spotted me, she came and sat in my lap and watched everyone else cheer the rest of the first half.

Juliann and her friends were great cheerleaders and had lots of fun!

Caroline wanted to go play on the playground with all her friends.  I told her the only way should could was if she cheered with her friends.  At half time, the girls were finished cheering and it was time for us to go home.  Caroline asked again to go play on the playground, but I told her she couldn't because she didn't cheer at the football game.  She said she was ready to go cheer.  I told her it was too late.  They were all done.  She threw a fit saying she wanted to start it all over again so she could go cheer.  Needless to say, we left and headed home to get everyone some food and relax.  As I am typing this post, Caroline is doing all her cheers from cheerleading camp:)
