Louise Fall Festival

This past weekend, Louise had its annual Fall Festival.  Last year, they weren't able to have it because of the drought and this year most of it was canceled because of all the rain.  Jeff was on a cook-off team with work.  They had two teams and cooked lots of food.  I went out to the cook-off on Friday evening with my parents to visit Jeff.  It was very wet!!  That evening they cooked open-faced hamburgers and sausage for the judging.
Saturday morning Jeff got up very early and headed back to Louise to put his brisket on.  My sister and I also headed that way to run in a 5K put on by the cheerleaders in Louise.  We weren't sure we were going to be able to run because of the rain.  When we started the race, it was drizzling and it had stopped rainning by the time we finished.  I finished in 26:18 and won first place in my age division.  Jennifer finished right behind me with a great time.
After the run, I headed home to shower and pick up the girls.  Then we headed back out to the cook-off with our rainboots on.
The girls had a great time splashing in the water and getting wet.
They loved getting in the buckets of water.  Another little girl was playing in the water as well.  She sat in one of the buckets and was soaked.  I told the girls not to do that because I did not have any extra clothes.
So far so good!!!
Then guess what?????
You're right, Caroline sat right on down and enjoyed getting soaked too!

Like I said, I didn't have any extra clothes for them to wear home.  So Caroline was stripped down and covered in a towel.  She was excited about getting to ride home naked.  Oh, what great memories!!!

On Thursday before the cook-off, we celebrated YaYa's 59th birthday at Pizza Hut and then with cake at the house.  It was a great time!
