Sunday morning we got up at 4:30 AM and got ready for the race. We got on the shuttle at 5:15 and we were off.

It was a little chilly that morning. We walked around trying to stay warm. Here we are at the starting line.

At 7:00 we began our 13.1 mile run. The weather was perfect!! I had warmed up by the time I got to the 1st mile marker. My goal was to do better than my last half. I did it!!! My official finish time was 2:06:59. I beat my last time by about 20 minutes. I don't have any pictures from the race, but here are some from afterwards. Heading to the beach!!!

My sister-in-law, Katie and me

Don't you just love our huge, heavy medals? They have multiple uses - medal, magnet and bottle opener!

We enjoyed sitting on the beach after the race, soaking up the sun and having a nice cold beverage.

After the race, we headed back to the hotel and took a shower. Then we went to the Anchor Cafe, which sat on the Intercoastal Waterway to enjoy a much needed lunch.

After lunch, we went and took naps. Then we headed to the hot tub for the rest of the day. More pictures to come from our last day in South Carolina.
