Myrtle Beach Trip - Part 1

Last Friday, I set off to Myrtle Beach with a few friends to run a mini-marathon. The trip started out quite exciting. We left Houston and arrived in Atlanta, where we changed planes. As we were walking through the airport, we spotted Jake from the Bachelor pass by us. We thought that was neat and headed for our flight. When we got to our plane, we were saying that it was a small plane, so I went to take some pictures of it. As I was boarding the plane, I looked in the cockpit and who did I see? JAKE!!!! I asked him if I could take his picture and he said yes. After the flight, we got a picture. Here Jake is checking out the plane. This is not a good picture, Laura has a better group picture, but here it is -
Me, Jake, Laura, and Katie (we are missing Lisa in this pic.)
After arriving in Myrtle Beach sometime after 9:00 PM, we headed to our hotel. It was the host hotel for the race and was very nice. We had a kitchen, two big bathrooms, and two bedrooms.
Katie was trying to get the fireplace to work.
After settling in, we order pizza food and salads and called it a night.
A view from our room - this is the intercoastal waterway.
Saturday morning, we went to the grocery store for some goodies, then headed to the Expo.
After visiting the Expo, we went to check out the rest of the hotel. The hotel had a marina attached to it.
We decided to head to the pool to relax, have a snack, and get soak up some sun! The weather was beautiful!
That evening we all got ready to head to the Italian restauraunt for dinner.
Lisa, Katie, and Laura waiting for the cab.
After the delicious dinner, we went back to the hotel. We sat outside and watched a movie (The Spirit of the Marathon) under the stars. Then we went to bed so we would be ready for race day. Stay tuned for race day photos which will come next time.
